Dual Threat privacy

Dual Threat is a free, fan-made trivia game and the sister site of ModiDex. It has no ads, and we never sell or share your information. Here's exactly what it stores.

If you just play

• Your Daily Contest results, stats and settings are saved only in your browser on this device, using local storage. Nothing is sent to us.
• The game reads athlete data from playmodidex.com, loads fonts from Google Fonts and code from Google's servers, and is hosted on GitHub Pages. Those services can see your IP address when your browser loads files from them.
• There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

If you sign in

Signing in is optional and uses the same account as ModiDex (Google's Firebase service, with your Google account or a link sent to your email).

• Your account: Firebase stores your email address and a random account ID. If you sign in with Google, it also receives your Google display name. A sign-in token is kept in your browser so you stay signed in.
• Your username is shared between ModiDex and Dual Threat.
• Daily leaderboard: when you finish a Daily Contest while signed in, your username, score and spoiler-free result squares are posted to that day's public leaderboard. Your email address is never shown to anyone.

Host Mode (live games on stream)

• Joining a live game signs you in as an anonymous guest (no email). The name you type and your score are visible to the host and everyone in that game.
• When the host ends the game, its players and scores are deleted.

Deleting your data

• Your account: on ModiDex, open your profile (👤) → Me → Delete my profile. That deletes your account, saved progress and username for both sites.
• Leaderboard scores: to remove past Daily Contest scores, contact us using the link below.
• This device: clear this site's data in your browser settings.

Children

Dual Threat is fine for all ages to play, but signing in is meant for players 13 and older. If you're under 13, please play without signing in.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top will change too.
